Helen Hughes

Helen Hughes is a highly regarded employment lawyer and former legal director at Shakespeare Martineau LLP. She has built up a tremendous amount of knowledge in her career and advised on a wide range of employment issues. She has worked both in private practice and in house and is also an accomplished Tribunal advocate. Her time spent working in house meant she has worked closely with HR teams in addressing numerous employee relations issues and is adept in always seeing the bigger picture.

Her clients appreciate her commerciality and common sense which helps resolve issues in a time efficient and cost effective manner. Helen’s preference is to work with clients on a proactive basis to minimise the risk of disputes arising, including through training and early intervention to avoid problems don’t become bigger issues.
